Large Group

Large Group is where the whole room comes alive. It’s where we gather as one community to hear God’s Word taught, lift our voices in worship, and pray with the global church through IFES. These aren’t just meetings—they’re moments that shape us.

This year we’re diving into three powerful encounters in John 3–5: Nicodemus, the woman at the well, and the healing at Bethesda. These stories challenge us to move from curiosity to belief, from hiding to honesty, and from brokenness to new life.

Each night builds on the last:
• Sunday: John 3:1–21
• Monday: John 4:1–26
• Tuesday: Community Night
• Wednesday: John 4:27–42
• Thursday: John 5:1–15

Come ready. Expect God to meet you. Expect to leave different.

Bob Wolniak

I first came to faith in Christ through InterVarsity during my sophomore year at MSOE. Later, I had the privilege of serving as a small group leader and prayer coordinator. While working as a mechanical engineer, I volunteered evenings and weekends with the InterVarsity chapters at Stout and Eau Claire.

I was married in 1991 and joined InterVarsity staff full-time in 1992, serving several chapters in Southeast Wisconsin as a campus staff minister. In 1999–2000 and again in 2003, I participated in global projects in Belarus and Russia, working with both students and staff. In 2003, Deb and I adopted our children, Alex and Darya, from Krasnoyarsk, Siberia.

Over the years, I’ve served as an Area Director, Associate Regional Director, and a national trainer for speaking and preaching. Along with others, I helped develop several tracks, including IV League, Loving God’s Story, Witnessing Communities, New Staff Formation, Truth That Works, and Live Sent. I completed InterVarsity’s Teacher Training course in 1998 and earned my Master’s degree from Trinity in 2008.

Since June 2018, I’ve been serving as the Senior Pastor at Fulton Church in Edgerton. I continue to speak at InterVarsity chapters and conferences, and when I’m not doing that, one of my favorite ways to spend time is reading and collecting books.
